Parental Participation

The International British Academy undertakes a partnership with parents/guardians in educating children. The school desires the parents to realise that they have a very important part in the education process. The Headmaster and the staff welcome enquiries from parents. Parents may set an appointment to see the Headmaster or teachers outside of regular teaching hours.

Parents are given a term plan at the beginning of each term showing the major content of the work to be undertaken.

Students’ academic progress is communicated to parents through the interim and end-of-term report. At the end of each term, the parents are invited to discuss their child’s progress. The Form Teacher is available to answer queries about the reports at a pre-arranged time. Subject teachers are also available for parent-teacher conferences.
