Gaea Mischa S. Salipot: 2018 Champion of the World Division Winner

The World Championships of the Performing Arts is an annual talent Olympics that is held in Long Beach, California in the United States.  This year our very own young and extremely talented Year 4 student, Gaea, was one of the many contenders drawn to Long Beach, California for the World Championships held over 10 days from 6th to 15th July 2018.  Gaea was one of 87 talented delegates of varying ages representing the Philippines.

Gaea participated in various categories featuring vocal soloist performances where she was judged by professionals and experts from the entertainment industry.  Only 19 of the 87 Filipino participants made it into the semi-finals of the vocal soloist categories and out of the 19, Gaea was the youngest to reach this crucial stage of the competition.

Gaea received a Gold Medal for her performances in the Soul/Jazz/R&B category, a Silver Medal in the Gospel category and a Bronze in the Operatic category as well as being awarded the most prestigious Champion of the World Division Winner.  A truly remarkable accomplishment for our young IBA star!
