IBA Students Excel in the Eye Level MUN Competition

Eye Level is an institution that offers educational support to parents who are looking for avenues to further develop their children’s academic skills. Their program offerings include Eye Level Math and Eye Level English. Guided by the philosophy of taking small step approaches towards building on students’ present skills and individual coaching, teachers aim to foster self-confidence as well as develop creativity in problem-solving and critical thinking in children. Currently, Eye Level franchises can be found in 22 countries including the Philippines.

The Eye Level Speech Competition was a venue created by the institution to allow students to practice their speaking skills as well as hone their leadership potential. Grand winners of the competition are offered the opportunity to become a Model United Nations (MUN) Camp delegate, while local winners will be given certificates and exclusive Eye Level merchandise.
With the goal of promoting UN values and educating young people within the UN framework, the World Federation of the United Nations Associations (WFUNA) has organized Model United Nations conferences in Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America-Caribbean. Eye Level MUN Camp Korea is one of these conferences, which will be held at the end of November. It has been designed as a week-long global, co-ed, residential summer/winter camp for high school, middle school, and elementary school students. Some of the topics to be discussed will include the United Nations as an organization, public speaking, research, consensus-based negotiation, and resolution-writing. Educational simulations and academic competitions where students can learn about the United Nations may also be observed by the participants.
Delegates from different countries include the students chosen as the best speakers in the recently concluded Eye Level Speech Competition. Of the 1000 participants in the competition from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam, 30 winners were awarded complimentary round trip tickets to MUN Camp in Korea.
