IBA’s Kim Brothers Compete in Singapore

The 14th International Mathematics Contest (IMC) was held in Singapore from July 27th to July 30th 2018.  Fourteen countries joined the contest where Hyo Jin Kim and his brother, Hyo Seong Kim, proudly represented IBA and the Philippines.

Once again the talented brothers brought honour to both their school and country with Hyo Jin being placed third overall, walking away with the bronze medal, and Hyo Seong receiving a merit award for his achievements during the contest.

This is not the first time this year that the Kim brothers have excelled in international Mathematics contests.  In the SuperTmatik 12th Mental Math Championship held from April 23rd to May 18th 2018, Hyo Seong was placed an incredible third place out of 35 000 international competitors.

Hyo Jin and Hyo Seong’s achievements were recently honoured at the school’s assembly.
