IBA Students get a Jump Start to the New School Year

IBA Students get a Jump Start to the New School Year

The traditional Acquaintance Party held at the start of each school year is an event where students from Year 6 to Year 11 who are new to the school, as well as those returning, have a chance to meet with their school mates and new friends in a social setting.  The event also serves as a formal induction of the class representatives and officers of the Supreme Student Government (SSG).  This year this event took place on Friday, August 14th 2015

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the school’s new Head of Activities, Ms. Precious Santiago, capably supported by her enthusiastic colleagues and other staff, the school’s quadrangle was soon transformed into a venue suitable for the year’s first grand social event.

But it took some of IBA’s first ever Senior Secondary students to lend the evening some star quality!

After the formal proceedings were over it was soon time for everyone to enjoy themselves.  Once again the IBA students were able to impress all with their multiple talents.  Some Year 7 students set the tone for the evening with an energetic dance routine and then the excited crowd were also entertained by the school’s band.

The pictures shown here capture the fun-filled evening where students and teachers were able enjoy each others’ company without the pressures of academic demands.
