Special Programmes
English as a Second Language Programme (ESL)
International British Academy offers the ESL (English as a Second Language) to non-native speakers of English who have insufficient English competency to be successful in the academic programme. To enable the students to continue his/her advancement in the regular academic programme, integrated into the ESL Programme are instructions in Mathematics, Science and History. The students will also attend regular academic classes in Introductory Filipino (Introfil), ICT, Art, Music and P.E.
Note: The ESL programme will not be offered during SY 2016-2017.
English Assisted Learning Programme (EAL)
The EAL Programme is offered to students whose competency in the English language do not require them to attend the ESL Programme but who, however, need language assistance when attending the regular academic programme. Students who are assessed as requiring EAL assistance are provided with extra tuition in the afternoon in addition to the normal classes during the school day.
Introfil
The Introfil Programme is offered to students whose mother tongue is not Filipino. Since Filipino is required to be taught to all students including foreign students the course runs parallel to the regular Filipino lessons during the school day.
After-School Activities Programme
The purpose of this programme is to involve students and teachers in exciting activities which are an extension of a school activity or an independent activity. Activities may range from Varsity Soccer, Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Taekwondo, Oil Painting, Choir, Band, Voice and Piano Lessons, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Dance or Ballet classes.
